- Double-weighted statement
- This is the first scholarly work to undertake a critical investigation of the phenomenon of pro-anorexia online spaces. It provides unique insights into the politics of thinness. It meets the criteria for double-weighting in that it is a longer-form output that is the result of sustained research effort over a number of years; it involved the collection and analysis of a large body of data which, due to the practices of internet censorship, were difficult to access; it analyses its topic in considerable depth, from different contexts by drawing different empirical and theoretical perspectives and across a range of disciplines.
