- This paper proposes a framework and methods for analysing folksonomies of geographic places to extract implicit place semantics, and build user profiles that reflect the sense of place by its actual users. The work set the basis for two self-funded PhD projects, is cited in a systematic review as exemplifying emotional attachment to places (https://doi.org/10.1080/13875868.2019.1688332) and cited as relevant in a patent for enhancing user profile information (https://app.dimensions.ai/details/patent/WO-2018226953-A1).
