- The book provides the first comprehensive study of the media of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB). This interdisciplinary study integrates Media Studies and Social Movement Theory and contributes to the field of media and religion. It is based on the analysis of a large body of material including periodicals, pamphlets, biographies, and websites that represent the voice of the MB, covering the period between 1928 and 2013. The analysis provides critical insight into the way a global movement like the MB appropriates and negotiates its interpretation of events to create shared meanings that binds MB members as an “interpretive community”.
