- This is the first paper to apply a scientometric method to examine the associations and networks among concepts, ideas, and issues that have contributed to the maturation of
Child Computer Interaction research. Previously analysis of the field has only been by standard literature reviews and so this research led approach is highly novel and especially timely. The work combined co-word analysis with an expert analysis of similarities and themes to identify trends. The method used has since been replicated in studies in GIS and in data mining and it is already influencing research direction within the field.
