- This paper in CORE-A* rated ICAPS was the result of research carried out in the EU-funded Autonomic Road Transport network TUD1102 comprising 24 European countries and chaired by the first author (McCluskey). The research results have led to winning of an Innovate-funded FOAK award (£898,356; https://gtr.ukri.org/projects?ref=971549), and the subsequent establishment of a joint-venture company (SIMPLIFAI - http://www.simplifaisystems.com/) of which McCluskey is research lead. The company have used this research as a foundation of an international patent No: PCT/EP2020/050815 published in 2020.
