- The study arose from collaborative work in the USA, France and the UK. The research was foundational to further two EPSRC-funded joint PhD projects with the Stephenson Institute for Renewable Energy (SIRE) in 2016. The paper led to securing follow-up funding, namely a UKRI GCRF GIAA 2018/19 award and a British Council UGC-UKIERI project F.No.184-1/2018(IC) in 2018-20, as well as industrial collaboration with Nexperia (contact: chris.rogers@nexperia.com).
