- This paper has impacted the state of the art by introducing a new coupled near and far wake BEM model for wind turbine aerodynamics with comparable accuracy and dramatically improved efficiency over conventional CFD. This model has been implemented into HAWC2 commercial software (https://www.hawc2.dk/hawc2-info) that is widely used by the wind turbine industry and certification authorities (e.g., DNV GL Oslo, Norway).
