- This substantial, sole-authored volume consists of 191 pages and 76,000 words. The initial research for the book was undertaken over three and a half years under an AHRC doctoral award. The research was developed further, and the book written, over the course of a further year, which included an institutionally funded three-month sabbatical. The book includes three chapters that each discuss a different research project. The volume takes an interdisciplinary perspective, necessitating extensive research across the three core disciplines of cultural geography, anthropology and graphic design.
