- Double-weighted statement
- This is a major single authored monograph demonstrating sustained research. It constitutes an original and thoughtful analysis of the Egyptian revolution, using the material creatively to interrogate aspects of the contentious politics literature, but also using the latter to throw light on developments in Egypt. The book has considerable significance both for our understanding of the dynamics of the Egyptian revolution, but also, beyond that, for a larger understanding of the dynamics of contention.
