- This first comparative study of the use of minority language hashtags on Twitter conducted a comparative analysis between the Welsh, Frisian and Irish languages, based on 3,000 tweets hand-coded using a code book developed specifically for the project. This work is cross-disciplinary and cross-institutional, involving collaborators from the Faculty of Education at the University of Hamburg and the Faculty of Arts and Social Science at Maastricht University. A paper following on from this work, but focussing on TikTok, has been accepted for presentation at the 18th International Conference on Minority Languages in 2021.
