- This highly cited paper has created impact in the teaching methods for computer science. Several authors have adopted and further investigated our proposed learning styles as evidenced in the number of research work based on our findings. For example, the research is acknowledged by Alice and David Kolb, Experiential Learning Pioneers, in Volume 1 of Experiential Learning & Teaching in Higher Education journal indicating that we “found that while participants generally adopt the same learning style in the game as that recorded in the pre-assessment questionnaire, a substantial number change their learning style as the game progresses”.
