- This paper shows how a software architecture can be transformed automatically into a self-adaptive software system to changing requirements. The paper was presented at the top international conference on software engineering (ICSE), influencing the PhD research of others (Cailliau 2019). The work led to several threads of international research in application areas such as online shopping (Chen et al., 2014), cloud applications (Jamshidi et al. 2015), autonomic computing (Zhao et al. 2017), online learning (Porter et al 2016; Filho et al 2017), and smart farming (Zhai et al 2020).
