- This work won the MobiCom’19 Best Paper Award. The project was funded by Vu’s 2018 Google Faculty Research Award, two National Science Foundation grants awarded to Vu worth over USD780,000, and a Colorado Advanced Industries Accelerator award. eBP is a wearable in-ear device to measure blood pressure (BP), incorporating several novel advances in design. The model and results show a strong correlation between the proposed technique and real-world devices in both systolic and diastolic BP measurements. The unobtrusive device enables more frequent and comfortable BP monitoring, and so has the potential to revolutionize blood pressure monitoring practice.
