- This 280-page research monograph conveys research over two decades on a specific region, the Norfolk Broads. It uses a wide range of primary sources from private and public archives, including the Norfolk Record Office, Norwich Castle Museum and the Linnean Society. It combines textual and visual analysis with field study across the region and interviews with key figures who have shaped public understanding of the cultural landscape. The book develops a new conceptual agenda for studies of regional cultural landscape, based upon a breadth and depth of investigation into the individual and institutional voices and interests which shape a region.
