- Double-weighted statement
- This book represents a significant body of research gathered into a manuscript of 95,000 words, with 63 black & white illustrations. The argument builds on primary findings gathered from multiple archives across the United States, Argentina and Europe, and synthesises materials in three different languages (English, Spanish and French). It situates under-studied works within a complex interdisciplinary cultural framework that draws on cybernetics, sociology, radical pedagogy, feminist theory and countercultural perspectives, making an original claim for the relevance of these discourses to the study of performance art, and to art history more generally.
