- This ca. 80,000-word, 280-page monograph involved consultation of all archival and printed sources to formulate a closely-evidenced narrative, which took a significant amount of time owing to the number of separate if related strands and the long time-period covered (1900-1980). It traces an arc of the rise and fall of the Bauhaus reputation in Britain and the USA that aims to evaluate the Bauhaus, guided by a more sceptical although not hostile attitude of recent international scholarship. Launched in the Bauhaus centenary year, it attracted extensive reviews, leading to a number of articles and author appearances at festivals and museums.
