- The work, highlighted on the cover of the ACM Transactions on Graphics journal, addresses the fundamental problem of shape correspondence. The new method is hundreds of times more efficient in time and memory than state-of-the-art method, and more robust to noise and outliers. Funded by EPSRC (EP/I000100/1: £97k), this formed the basis of an EPSRC DTP studentship project (EP/N509449/1: 1806028), and led to further innovations, e.g. non-rigid registration (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.cagd.2019.04.014).
