- This is edited collection takes recent revisionist approaches to the Spanish nineteenth century to the next stage. As part of Manchester University Press's "Rethinking the Nineteenth Century" Series, it represents one strand of a broader rethink of the nineteenth century which is taking place across multiple disciplines and in different languages.
Lawless’s contribution includes a co-authored introduction and a single-authored chapter. All editorial work was divided equally between the two editors. This included: initial conception and planning of the project; commissioning articles; evaluating contributions and making decisions about final inclusion; initial editing and in some cases translating articles; submitting the proposal to Manchester University Press; receiving the reader reports and liaising with contributors to address any concerns raised; final editing and formatting of chapters; liaising with contributors to ensure permissions are in place for all illustrations; coordinating the return of proofs; arranging for compilation of index.
