- Additional information
- This is the first systematic review of economic analysis evaluating the unique contribution of nurses to community based self-management programmes for patients with COPD. The systematic review was conducted according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) statement. It showed that the interventions are effective for improving self-efficacy amongst patients and for reducing anxiety and healthcare utilisation such as unscheduled physician visits which has a knock-on impact on cost-savings.
