- This book is the first extended investigation of mind style from a cognitive linguistic perspective. It is the product of over five years of research by Nuttall, during which she developed a cognitive grammatical approach to text analysis through detailed examination of a range of fictional narratives. It draws together theories and approaches from numerous disciplines including stylistics, narratology, linguistics, social psychology and neuroscience to provide a unified understanding of this textual phenomenon.
