- This article presents outputs from ROBOT-ERA, a 8.7M Eruo, EU FP7 project. A speech and tablet-based interface for a team of service robots that support ageing at home was developed following a user-centred design approach. The interface was evaluated for usability and acceptability in realistic living-lab environments at multiple sites in Europe with elderly users with differing levels of experience with technology in one of the largest ever evaluations of a multi-robot multi-service system. Results show a willingness by elderly users to adopt robotic services and how the multimodal interaction increased acceptability.
