- Double-weighted statement
- This 320 page monograph argues that immersion can be understood as a defining conceptual framework for twenty-first century media and cultural practices.
The monograph explores the history, contemporary manifestations and politics of immersive media technologies, experiences and industries and grounds the theoretical analysis in contemporary practice and concerns. Our argument for double weighting is the range and scope of this study – empirical, creative and theoretical – that represents several years’ research and contributes substantially to media practice and theoretical analysis
