- One of the earliest papers on hierarchical caching in cellular networks, the research is one of several collaborations between Keele and Toshiba Research, Bristol. The resaerch continues to arouse interest; Fan has presented it to leading 5G companies (Nokia: Dr Holger Claussen; Huawei: Dr Ganghua Yang). The research underpinning the paper is taken forward by Toshiba in the EU project Clear 5G (https://clear5g.eu/, 2017-19).
