- This paper studies property testing of distributions. In problems like this, the challenge is to learn as much as possible about a distribution while taking the smallest number of possible samples. This has implications for hypothesis testing, one of the central problems in statistics. Our results generalise and simplify previous results by Canonne, Diakonikolas, Gouleakis and Rubinfeld. It is one of the first works using conditional sampling for property testing of distributions.
