- The model developed in this paper is the first of its kind that addresses the challenging issue of analytical end-to-end performance evaluation of Network Function Virtualization, a promising technology for future Internet subject to multiple services and heterogeneous traffic. A part of this work was published in IEEE Smart City 2015 conference (10.1109/SmartCity.2015.48) and was awarded IEEE Best Paper Award. The research outcomes led to a successful Horizon-2020 grant (No: 101008297). The further research publication based on this work has received a prestigious IEEE Best Paper Award from IEEE ISPA-2019 conference.
