- The significance of this paper is that it introduced the concept of implementing various virtual sensor networks on a physical wireless sensor network, which is a significant outcome particularly for toady’s sensor-enabled Internet of Things (IoT) environments. The work has led to an industry collaboration with JMVL London (Manish Jugran, Director, admin@jmvl.co.uk). JMVL is developing a product Software Defined Drone Traffic Management System utilizing virtual sensor network among drones for safer flights within any predefined 3D space. It has attracted an invited talk at Medilink East Midlands, on “Healthcare meets IoT: Challenges and Opportunities” (Becky Sharpe, Project Leader, rebecca@medilinkem.com).
