- Scott Walker and the Song of the One-All-Alone is a substantial monograph on the Oeuvre of a single author spanning over 50 years. It involved a long period of sustained research and analysis of the development of a significant body of work that sought to establish the value of that work through a sustained assessment of its major achievements. It is acknowledged that Walker’s later work is highly complex and difficult, drawing on a very wide range of philosophical, musical, literary, and cinematic references. The rigorous examination of this work involved a great deal of time and effort.
