- This 120 000-word book is one of the main outcomes of an AHRC-funded collaborative project (2011-14) for which a team of 7 conducted research over a 4 period. The book interprets the findings of an extensive database of 6 complex manuscript traditions produced between the early thirteenth and late fifteenth centuries in France, England, Italy and the Eastern Mediterranean (http://www.medievalfrancophone.ac.uk/, see also one of our impact case studies). The production of this database entailed many, often lengthy library visits in Europe and the US. The book is also a thorough-going revision of literary history.
