- Ebury's contribution to the publication was to co-organise the original conference from which the volume emerged and to develop the intellectual framework for the subsequent edited collection, to identify suitable authors for each chapter and invite and commission original essays. Ebury handled and supported half the authors during their preparation of their manuscripts and co-edited all the submitted essays, ensuring coherence to the whole volume. She co-authored the introduction and wrote her own original chapter on Joyce's epiphanies, drawing on her experience of literary theory and animal studies.
