- This research provides a unique baseline dataset of ICT professionals’ attitudes to change on immediately after the Brexit referendum. The significance of the key findings was recognised in follow-on workshops (London/Newcastle) with ICT practitioners and scholars from Europe. This resulted in the development of a policy briefing to shape ICT priorities, subsequently cited by Dynamo North East, a group of IT related organisations and individuals (http://www.dynamonortheast.co.uk/dynamo-brexit-think-tank-policy-briefing-released/). It also led to an invitation to speak at the International Centre for Parliamentary Studies’ Annual International Regulatory Affairs Symposium, November 2018 where international regulators engaged in discussing the findings with the lead author.
