- Double-weighted statement
- Human Rights Obligations of Non-State Armed Groups, was the product of a multi-year study, involving in-depth research across different areas of international law, notably public international law, international human rights law, and international humanitarian law, and extensive analysis of armed group practice. The book addressed both the legal basis for ascribing human rights obligations to non-State armed groups and presented a framework for applying these rights in practice. The depth required to effectively address each of these issues was not amenable to single article format. Their inclusion in a single monograph allowed for a comprehensive treatment of the overall issue.
