- This monograph of 320 pages is based on almost ten years of research in the core Spanish archives in Madrid and Simancas, and in several Spanish municipal archives. Extensive research was also carried out in state archives in London and Turin. This extensive work laid the groundwork for the monograph’s new interpretation of international relations in Europe, as well as the sources, character and extent of Spanish revisionism across the Atlantic, in Italy and in Africa in the generation after the War of the Spanish Succession.
