- Double-weighted statement
- This 450-page book merits double weighting because it draws on nearly a decade of extensive archival research in multiple languages across the Middle East, Europe and the USA. It required access to a wide range of declassified primary material, much of which had to be obtained through extended freedom of information requests after multi-year embargoes. It is the first book-length treatment of this period of history using all available sources from different national perspectives. It required familiarity with very different contexts and a wide body of literature in many languages.
