- Double-weighted statement
- This was a major mid-career institutional solo exhibition by Dr. Evans comprising multiple bodies of work that have been both exhibited in numerous exhibitions since 2014 and continue to be exhibited internationally. Some of the works are the culmination of long-duration creative work over a five-year period in collaboration with 18 institutions worldwide and produced in multiple outputs ranging from audio works (live and published), sculpture (including public commissions) and performative events. Works included in the exhibition have been reviewed in five international art journals.

- Additional information
- Protocols of exchange informed six bodies of work exhibited in an expansive solo exhibition at Centre d’art Neuchatel, centred upon research that considers the hidden social relations behind the evolvement of artworks. The sculpture “Drippy Etiquette’ took form from an ongoing proposal to rebrand Morning Star - the UK’s only Marxist daily broadsheet - and involved collaborative input from numerous institutions including The Showroom, London; CRAC Alsace, France, and Hong Gah Museum,Taipei. ‘Jingle (Centre d’Art, Neuchatel)‘ was likewise the result of consultation and one of an ongoing series, produced for internationally renowned institutions, to cumulatively proclaim and broadcast the arrival of exhibition visitors. For the body of work ‘Home Economics’, resinous slicks fix herbs and spices on ceramic induction hobs, hung vertically. The series was first exhibited at SALT Galata, Istanbul (2018) produced with visitors to the institution. ‘A Sculpture for the Councillor of Culture (Neuchâtel)’ was the first iteration of a public work proposed to a presiding Councillor for Culture, to display a sculpture on his/her home, for their contemplation. Sculptures from a series, Cowlick (I-V), featured transaction windows with Speak-Through holes, similar to those one might encounter in governmental administration offices and incorporating cast licks made by a herd of Charolais cattle. Originally invited by Para Site, Hong Kong, reviewed in Art Review Asia and subsequently exhibited at Markus Luettgen Gallery, Dusseldorf (2019). Collectively the exhibition was the fruition of research into how artworks might intervene in social relationships, proposing an understanding of methods that place an alternative ethical universe upon the financial, material and social hierarchies that operate in the background of production.
