- We report on the application of a newly developed small size, lightweight plasma actuator for momentum transfer reattachment promotion. Developed from a MSc project, the knowledge gained contributes to the further development of a plasma actuator known as MEE-DBD. This aerospace driven work contributed to the award of a healthcare NIHR-i4i project (NIHR200023) for Safe and Effective Above Cuff Tracheostomy Vocalisation in Tracheostomised Patients; an industry led KTP project with Severn Trent water company (KTP1025332) for which the associate won the National Innovation Awards of the Institute of Water; and an industry led KTP project with Motherwell Tank Protection (KTP011023).
