- Double-weighted statement
- Disability in the Industrial Revolution is proposed for double-weighting as a longer-form output demonstrating sustained research effort. The output of a Wellcome Trust Programme Award in Medical History (2011-16), research for the book involved collection and analysis of a large body of printed and manuscript material from regional archives in south Wales, North East England, and Scotland, as well as national collections. The book explored experiences of disability in three coalfields, and necessitated in-depth research in order to reflect the regional complexities of mining history as well as addressing broader themes in disability history.
