- This single-authored monograph focuses on the cross-disciplinary application of theories developed through iconoclasm studies to interpretative themes within European later prehistory. It presents extended critical analysis of an extensive corpus of material (objects, bodies, monuments and landscapes) between 2011 and 2018. The research necessitated sustained participation in research networks with scholars from history, history of art, theology and South East Asian studies to develop a new conceptual framework regarding actions and their timescales in later prehistory. In addition, the application of concepts usually drawn from historical records, involved substantial work to re-focus past interpretations of iconoclasm to foreground material culture.
