- Double-weighted statement
- The request for double-weighting rests on this book’s extensive and original research on the European-United States internal security cooperation. This 5-year research involved the analysis of a very large body of official documents as well as conducting interviews with fifteen security officials from the USA and the EU during six trips in total. In other words, the book is based on an exceptionally wide range of materials, including interviews with difficult to access policy elites. Moreover, it offers an original and unique conceptual framework based on theories of international regimes which is then applied and tested in four different cases.
