- Double-weighted statement
- This double length book (471 pp.) the culmination of a 7-year collaboration between an Old French and a Middle English specialist brings a new cross-disciplinary approach to the study of the literature of England (50% each, co-written so that in some chapters it is not easy to distinguish the work of either scholar). It has been praised for its scope (comprehensive, some 18 texts, multiple manuscripts, in English, French and some Latin) and impact in stimulating further research. It is the first book length study of the Matter of France in England, its importance underlined by the forthcoming paperback edition.
