- Parallel coordinates are a popular technique for the visualization of high-dimensional data. Interaction is a vital component of this visual interface in order to take full advantage of the benefits parallel coordinate imagery has to offer. This paper introduces novel, advanced interaction techniques (called smart brushing) to support high-dimensional pattern searching and filtering in multivariate data. The new and intuitive visual interaction techniques were developed in collaboration with an industry partner, QPC Ltd, and are used to inform their analysis of very large, high-dimensional, real-world call centre data providing new insight into call centre operations.
