- Drawing on comparative and historical analysis from both common law and civil law jurisdictions, this monograph re-conceptualizes the newest legal and technological developments in the use of injunctions against online intermediaries in EU law. Based on research over a 5 year period, it examines an extensive body of English and German case-law which has evolved since the 19th century, including over 100 German cases, some of which had to be retrieved from archives. Insight into the use of injunctive relief is deepened by use of economic analysis and a comprehensive account incorporating historical, comparative, doctrinal and economic perspectives is presented.
