- Spaces of Women’s Cinema is a book project of 100,000 words, the outcome of sustained research over a period of four years. The investigation of its theme, the spatial and temporal aspects of women’s filmmaking, and the ways in which these require a rethinking of cinematic space-time, involved engagement with a range of theoretical material across the disciplines of film and literary theory, philosophy, and cultural geography, together with the analysis of a substantial body of films across the global terrain of women’s filmmaking.
