- This AAAI paper was the result of a global collaborative research effort supported by research grants from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, Asian Office of Aerospace Research and Development (AOARD - FA2386-15-1-4069), and the Spanish ministry of science MICINN grant TIN2014-55637-C2-1-R. It contains an original meta-search technique in the space of combinations of representations and heuristics to find one suitable for optimally solving a specific planning problem. A planner called “meta-search planner” built by the authors using this technique was shown to be competitive with state of the art optimal planners in ICAPS-IPC 2018 planning competition https://ipc2018-classical.bitbucket.io/planner-abstracts/team5.pdf.
