- Double-weighted statement
- This 100,000 word monograph is of substantial scale and scope, being composed of two significant, in-depth case studies and extensive analysis. It involved five years of research in English and French, including the translation of a large body of primary material. It makes an innovative and significant contribution to the field as the only in-depth comparative study of its kind. This required careful and sustained engagement with two different national contexts (France and Australia) - including a period of over a year of fieldwork in France - to ensure sufficiently nuanced accounts of socio-cultural, historical and political specificities.
