- Proposes and applies a new algorithm (inspired by natural ripple spreading in water) to address the discovery of optimum paths through a communications network. This international collaboration (UK, Spain, China) was funded by a Marie Curie Fellowship (£290k, PIOF-GA-2011-299725). The funded research fellow (first author) was appointed Professor at the Civil Aviation University of China, following publication of this work.
