- Combining clinical imaging, reverse engineering, finite element analysis and programming, this work establishes a new biomechanical mechanism in orthodontic tooth alignment. It developed a computational prognostic tool, validated against clinical experiment on teenage patients at Sydney Dental Hospital Australia. The work has been presented in two invited keynotes: the 8th World Congress of Biomechanics (July 2018) and the 10th Australasian Biomechanics Conference (December 2020). The work has been adopted by several groups world-wide.
