- Double-weighted statement
- This 100,000-word book concerns the development of metaphysical theories of time from the 1640s to 1730s. It comprises 10 chapters, running to 235 pages. It took three years to write. Chapters 2 and 7 are based on material originally published as articles in peer-reviewed journals. Three additional chapters were presented as standalone conference papers and could easily be converted into additional standalone journal articles. Each chapter is based on extensive original research, including archival work. This book is therefore equivalent, in terms of its scope, content and the research effort required to produce it, to at least five journal articles.
