- This 250 page book (75,000 words, over 450 references) is based on research from a two-year EU funded project coordinated by the lead author involving partners from seven countries. The book took three years to write and is significant in being the first monograph to present a substantive review of the field and critically analyse data on online teacher education, project-based learning and machinima, a novel video-based approach to second language teaching. Drawing on theories of online teacher training, the book analyses data from over 200 teacher educators, and argues for the integration of effective models of online instruction.
