- Author contribution statement
- I contributed to performing and validating the analysis reported here, including to interpretation of the results. I was a lead author of the software used in performing the parameter estimation. Further, as the co-leader of the group of scientists within the collaboration working directly on searches for gravitational waves from compact binary systems I was responsible for conceptualising and steering the overarching data analysis projects around GW170817, including defining goals for this paper.
