- Understanding time-series data through interaction poses significant problems. We provide a new interactive modality in a single system for exploring, analysing, and presenting time-series data. We implement all significant previous methods of interaction and conduct a user study of our method against them. We use animal movement data as an example application.
The software is integrated into our Framework4 system and has been released to the biology academic community. http://www.framework4.co.uk/ (Over 250 registered users on all continents (including Antarctica)). Further articles based on this work are published in PeerJ, 2 in Movement Ecology, and 2 Visual Computer papers.
